LED Information
LED technology is the latest energy saving bulb to become available at an economical cost to the retail market. An LED lamp is a light-emitting diode (LED) product that is assembled into a lamp (or light bulb) for use in lighting fixtures. LED lamps have a lifespan and electrical efficiency that is several times better than incandescent lamps, and significantly better than most fluorescent lamps, with some chips able to emit more than 100 lumens per watt.

LED light bulbs have a longer life than traditional incandescent light bulbs and require less energy. They come in a variety of shapes, offer a variety of sheens, and come in different base widths to match almost any light fixture. Many stores now carry a wide selection of LED light bulbs to help create the lighting effect you desire. They offer everything from ultra-bright LED flood lights to dimmable LED lights that can soften a room.
WMS recommends a high-quality, ENERGY STAR certified line of LED products. ENERGY STAR qualified LEDs provide the greatest savings in fixtures that are on for a substantial amount of time each day. At a minimum, ENERGY STAR recommends installing qualified LEDs in fixtures that are used at least 15 minutes at a time or several hours per day.
LEDs come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and wattages to meet almost any home lighting need.  So, don’t delay, change out your incandescent bulbs/ CFLs today!
